Excellence in Business Awards

The Chamber recognizes outstanding Big Bear Valley businesses in June at its Awards Breakfast and Annual General Membership Meeting. Award recipients are chosen after careful consideration based on specific criteria, including excellence in growth and performance, operations, response to business challenges and risks, the use of unique and innovative business practices, community image and contribution, and collaboration and partnerships with other Big Bear businesses. 

To be considered for the honor, a business must be a Chamber member and located in the Big Bear Valley, serving the immediate area and/or beyond the Valley and must meet the criteria.  Nominations are submitted by members of the Chamber Board of Directors.  

The Excellence in Business Award (Ebbie) is awarded to a business that meets or exceeds these criteria.  The Summit Award is given to a longstanding business in the community that exceeds the criteria, but is not awarded each year.  Recipients receive a year of marketing through the Chamber, a handsome plaque, guest breakfast for owners and their guests, and an opportunity to address the business community at the presentation.
