Event Description: Computer Basics Class. Begins June 11th. Class Dates: 6/11,6/13,6/18,6/20,6/25, & 6/27 Meeting Times M & W 1:30PM-3:30PM Prerequisites: None; No Computer Experience necessary! Class Fee: $25, 12 hrs. of instruction For the true beginner! Are you the new owner of a computer, but aren't sure what to do with it? Learn how to identify and set up the components, understand the operating system (Windows7), and explore the function of various software programs. Learn how to use Microsoft Word and create/save/print documents. Learn how to explore the Internet through use of basic Search Engines such as Google and Yahoo!. Create a free Email address and learn to do basic Email. Learn basic Computer Security techniques to keep you safe while using the Internet & Email. NOTE: Open Lab will be supervised by Lab Supervisor, or trained Staff Member or trained Volunteers. Lab Rules will be posted in the Lab, and are available at the CCBB Main Office.
