Event Description: Intermediate Computers Class. Class Fee: $25; 12 hrs. duration. This class is for those who have the basics, and wish to grow your knowledge and confidence! We will be covering more in-depth coverage of Microsoft Word such as Margins, Tabs, Rulers, Tables, Word-Art, Clip-Art, Headers and Footers,and using pictures and text together in documents. More in-depth treatment of Internet Search Engines, such as Google, Yahoo!, and web-crawler. Also covered are introductions to beginning Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets), and begininning Microsoft PowerPoint (preentation). Learn how to attach Microsoft Office documents such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files to your Emails. More advanced training in Email usage, including webmail and creating of Group Lists. Basic Computer Security techniques are covered to keep you and your computer safe while using the Internet and Email. Online Photosharing and Social Media are discussed but not taught on our computers. NOTE: Open Lab will be supervised by Lab Supervisor, or trained Staff Member or trained Volunteers.
