Event Description: Event #3 in Open Air Big Bear's Conquer the Bear series, the fifth annual Big Bear PaddleFest has been scheduled to take place Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8, 2012. at Swim Beach at Meadow Park on the south shore of Big Bear Lake. Big Bear PaddleFest is a festival of clinics and races for kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddleboards on Big Bear Lake, hosted by North Shore Trading Company. For two days in July, paddlers can test their stamina at 6700', take beginner through advanced clinics, and learn about the latest in paddling gear from vendors and sponsors. With 5k, 10k, and around the lake 20k races, there's an event for everyone. And kids 5-12 race free.
